Here is Dallas' Devotion----Faithfulness

** If you haven't read the short post below, go there and see why Dallas has written a devotion!

Here it is! I am so proud of her...

FAITHFULNESS

If anyone is ashamed of me and my words...the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels.
Mark 8:38

Are you faithful to God? What do you "do" that makes you faithful to him?

I get up on Sunday morning and go to church. I really enjoy being there, and I get upset when Mom or Dad tell us we're not going. I like it so much because the teacher makes it fun for us and we learn a lot about God.

I also show my faithfulness to God by praying. I know it's something he wants me to do.

I feel like I should be doing more to show my faithfulness. I think I should tell about God no matter how embarrassing I think it might be. He does so much for me, and I need to respect him more for that by sharing him with others.

He says in Matthew 25:23:

" Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!"

Wouldn't that be spectacular?

Now get on your feet, go out, and tell about God. Show him your faithfulness!

Lord, help me be faithful to You, no matter what. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen

That's a great devotion Dallas....one that many adults could learn from...me included! Your Mom is blessed to have such a 'faithful' daughter! The Lord will bless your faithfulness...keep your eyes on Him.

That was inspiring to see a young heart secure and deep in God's Word. Cherie, What a picture of the Proverbs 31 mom, and what a Legacy you have given Dallas and you get the reward of watching her live in the Grace of her holy savior and serve Him in such a great way. What an awesome bond you two share. She is starting her legacy early, what a great gift to her family. Is this going to be a regular feature of your blog?

Very insightful! I'll have to get my daughter to try her hand at this (she is an exceptional writer...several of her pieces are district samples for the state writing test).

Sorry it took so long to get back here...my arms and hands are staying busy. Even now, I'm typing one-handed because baby EM is claminig the other arm as her bed ;)

GREAT JOB Dallas! We have a lot to learn from your FAITHFULNESS!

Cheri...good lesson on the daily life of being at home, as if it's not work (lol)...do you homeschool?
May you be richly blessed by guiding her into the child of God she is growing in to...and it shows beautifully! Good job, Mom!
You can be pleased or as Psalm Friday says "boast in the Lord"!

Thanks for visiting me and leaving such sweet comments! I'm blessed!

Dallas,
What an awesome word from the Word! God has an awesome plan for you precious one. Keep your eyes on Him, engrave His Word upon your heart, and keep those needs bowed in humble submission before Him. You are in my prayers!

Blessings,
Jenifer

Cheri,

What a wonderful thing to teach your daughter to do. No doubt the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. This precious little peanut has the gift of writing just like her mom.

My teenage daughter is hurting this weekend because she didn't get asked to the junior prom. She is also a writer. I think I may encourage her to write a devotion about it.

Thanks so much for the fantastic idea.

Warmly, Joanne
