Is your candle burning?

I was saved on April 24, 1999. I was at a Christian women's conference where Kathy Troccoli was a speaker and also a singer. This women touched my life. I wanted what she had.... a Jesus that would save me from my sin.
I was in nursing school at the time, and it wasn't too long after that great day, that I was to be graduating. As a class we had to come up with 2 songs for the ceremony. I brought in the CD I had gotten at the conference and took it in to share this song with them. They loved it and we decided it would be the song we walked out to.
I never got that CD back.... someone took it. :(
But it's okay, because I have Jesus! :)
I have had the privilege of speaking with Kathy on 2 different occasions since then. Of course, I told her what Jesus had done for me through her! I do hope you enjoy the song as much as I do!

I love that you guys used this song at your nursing school graduation! My son has spent tons of time on the peds floor at the hospital, and nurses can definitely be a candle!

Thanks for sharing!

Pretty song. I have never heard this one before. I must be living under a rock, all these songs I am finding that I never knew existed.

This is such a great song! It gets me all fired up and wanting to go let all of those who have been "robbed and lied to" know that Jesus wants to light their candle! He wants to bring light and healing to their darkness!

Thanks for sharing this, Cheri! May we shine brightly for Jesus today and every day to follow!!!!

I've never heard this one before - I love this meme!!! It's so true - we have to bring out our candles - the light of Christ within us - to show people His love for them through us! The Lord has been working on me on this and this song is what I needed to hear!!

This is a great song. And what a message and challenge to a group of nurses!! That is awesome.

Wanted to say thanks for your message today. :)

I know how you feel about loving a church and longing to be there when God has you somewhere else....I've been there! I still miss my good girlfriends in our home church in Chatt., but God is giving me new sisters here that are so important and challenge me in new and different ways.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

I absolutely love that song too! A book called "Falling in Love with Jesus" that she co-wrote with Dee Brestin changed my life!

Oh this is a great song! I have seen Kathy speak at Women Of Faith twice and I must say she is incredible!!! Her testimony just draws you in and makes you want some of what she's got, doesn't it! Thanks for sharing this song, no one sings it quite like Kathy!

I absolutely love this song! The first time I heard it was when I was in college. I had gone to Kentucky to visit a friend and we were driving to North Carolina to visit my parents. I played this song over and over again for hours and hours. Finally my friend took the CD out of refused to give it back to me. The nerve!!

After I listened to this song tonight, I had to stop and first praise God that He is my light and my salvation- then I prayed that He would continue to fan the flame of love I have for Him so that others might see Him in me.

Thanks for asking about my friend. She has had a set back today. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. It is going to be a long road for them.

Much love sister! Hold that candle high!

I love this song. I was singing it once at a candlelight service and holding the candle for the guitar player when a drop of hot wax came through the shield and landed on my hand. I hit a pretty crazy note and - good thing it was towards the end of the song - we could hardly keep from laughing the rest of the tune!!
I do love this song though!
Thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks for the tip. I figured it out. Now, everyone can hear my current favorite song. I don't know what I did, but my comment thingy isn't showing anymore for this post. Oh, well. Enjoy!
