Wasn't sure which place would be best to leave a comment. So here I am...
Like you, my daughter and son fight pretty much all the time. Every now and then we see a few rays of love shining through. I love the idea of having everyone pray for someone else and doing it all together. I think I'll make a "Prayer Jar", have everyone write their names on it and maybe an area in their life that we can pray over. We'll all put our names in the jar and each night draw out a name, say something good about the person we drew, and then pray for them. You've inspired me- I LOVE IT!!!!!
This is great because it's making us all sit down together as a family, pray as a united force, and look into the hearts of those we love the most. I think I'm gonna piggy-back on your thoughts for the day and share this on my blog. I'll link to you. How does that sound!?!
Enjoyed your devotional! It always amazes me when I see things come to fruition in my children's lives for which I have been praying. I don't know why it amazes me so much, after all OUR God IS MORE than ABLE. My daughter was just discussing how she wanted to do something special for a kid in her class at school who seems to stay in trouble. She mentioned that his family are having "money troubles" at home and she surmised that maybe he is just having a hard time right now. I just thought wow! I have prayed that my daughter would have a compassionate heart toward others! What grace in her attitude and actions toward her classmate. All I can say is Praise the Lord for working in her little heart and life. We could all learn from our little ones sometimes!
Thanks for your blog! I just found it, and I found myself listening to songs, reading, and even crying! Powerful stuff! I loved today's prayer thoughts! Thank you! Love, Tammy
