Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
~Romans 8: 24-25
Isn't it hard to watch those that you love, who don't know Christ? They've been told of His great mercy and yet they do not care. They go about their way...never changing. You pray and pray, but yet nothing happens. They are careless with everything God has given them. You try to reach them but you can not. They are selfish and destroy those they love- bit by bit and day by day. They know what they do is wrong yet they choose not to turn to God for help.
It is out of my hands Lord, there is nothing left for me to do, but pray....

Okay, I typed you a LONG comment to this post and then something crazy happened. Must be the Lord saying I typed too much. That or I just need to get off of the computer!
Anyways, to say it in a short way...I understand! There is someone in my life I have been praying for 10 years now. I know God is working in ways I cannot see. But it does feel frustrating many times.
But just like you said, we'll just keep praying!
Blessings!

I know that feeling. I've been praying over someone for 16 years!!
The Lord showed me a verse recently that I'd like to share with you. (I posted a long version of this; you can visit my blog and read it- Fight with all Your might!) It's in Nehemiah 4- this is what the verse says, "Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren , your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes." We are to fight with all our might for those whom God has placed in our lives. Our fighting for them may go on for years, but we are to never give up. God is awesome and He is in control!
Your sis' in Christ,

Oh, dear one, NEVER give up praying for those lost family members! I prayed for 7 years for my own dear mother and she now loves the Lord with all her heart! At almost 60 years of age, she came to know Jesus as her Savior and has dove head first deep into the truth she had missed for decades! I tell you, those you least think will come the know Him, just might be those He brings nearest to Himself!
Don't grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time you will reap a harvest!! (Gal. 6:9)
blessings, mariel
Keep praying and sharing Jesus' love in practical ways. You never know how they are watching you.
